Pumps & Fountains

A wide range of pumps are available for most applications. In selecting a pump the following criteria should be considered:

Submersible pumps

Pumps designed to provide water supplies in isolated locations, with no long cables to bury or electricity bills to pay.
For most drilled wells the water level will be below the suction limit of any pump, so the pump needs to be sited actually in the well itself. The best way to do this is with a submersible pump lowered into the water and positioned between the yearly maximum and minimum levels.

Surface Pumps

Used for pumping from shallow wells, water pressurisation or circulation.These solar operated pumps are designed for high reliability and life expectancy. Maintenance free brushless DC motors. Excellent efficiency.

More powerful, quieter and more durable than plastic RV/Marine pumps. Wearing parts typically last 5-10 years; overall life expectancy 15-20 years.

Pumps are supplied with IP54 weatherproof controllers suitable for either PV direct operation with integrated maximum power point tracking, or with a battery including low voltage disconnection and restart after recharge. Two inputs for dry well probe, pressure switch or tank/remote float switch. LED indicators for system status. Protected against: overload, temperature, reverse polarity, lightning.

The max. pump speed is adjustable to reduce flow rate to approx. 30% if desired. (20% for PS150).In PV direct operation the maximum PV array size is unlimited as the controller regulates max. power consumption.

Pressure switches and filters must be ordered separately.

Low Voltage Pumps

A range of small pumps for use in battery systems.These are designed for intermittent use and are ideal for irrigation, emptying tanks, transferring fluids or hosing.

They can be used in-line with a gravity feed or submerged in liquid (clean, foul or sea water). The Amazon, Congo & Nile are continuously rated (Niagara 20 min) and can pump diesel.

The Amazon can be used in hot water systems (up to 80ÂșC). Outlet is a 12m (0.5") hose barb, inlet has removable strainer with another hose barb for in-line use. Fits inside water containers or a 2" well casing. Complete with cable. Amazon & Congo supplied with cable & battery clips.
